For the freshest pizza at any size, South Shore Tiki Lounge is saying goodbye to slices and introducing the 6 inch “menehune” personal pizza. Choose any of our specialty pizzas or build your own in a 16 inch standard pie or a menehune. We’ve also added two new specialty pizzas that are low in price, but high in taste. The new menu has some lighter fare like baked stuffed mushrooms and shrimp lettuce wraps as well as some classics like a Turkey Club and our own version of a Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich. Kudos to Chef Danny Paquette for the new creations! Dig in.
If you woke up this morning and had to ask yourself, “Say, when’s Christmas?” you may have some catching up to do. For those of you in Kihei Town, avoid the chaos of going shopping in town and peek out Kihei Kalama Village. From everyone’s favorite Mahina to Jen’s adorable keepsake ornaments and locally made soaps and lotions, there is some cool stuff anyone would be stoked to get under the tree. When your bags are full, pull up a stool at South Shore Tiki Lounge and order yourself a cold one for a job well done!
We commissioned 19 year old local Maui artist Reuben Cantere Jr. to do some surfboard art for us and we are stoked by the results. Come down and check it out as the picture does not do the detail justice. More of his art can be seen and bought at Wailuku store Maui Thing and we hear he’s having his first solo show at Green Banana Cafe in Paia. We hope to add more pieces from young, local Maui artists and this was a great start.
We closed the bar this morning for a little R&R with the staff. Our Triangle neighbor, Ambrosia, also joined to make for a great cast of characters on the trip. At 8am we set sail on Trilogy and could not have asked for a more beautiful day on Maui with clear skies, calm waters, and light wind. Luckily, we scored whale and dolphin sightings, then stopped at Molokini for snorkeling. We are blessed to live in such an amazing place and we all had a blast indulging ourselves, if only for the morning. Back to work!
Maui is in a frenzy about the historic swell on its way to the islands. Faces of 50 ft are expected to arrive this Monday. When Peahi aka Jaws breaks like this the world is watching. With this in mind, Tom Conway played a fitting song by the Ka’au Crater Boys.
